Today we went to Vivocity to board an historical ship. Ahoy mates! It was fun. The ship originally was built in 1738.It made 3 lucrative voyages to China b4 it met its doom 36 mths later. The ship sank at its motherland, Gothenburg harbour, Swedish west coast. So today the swedish recreate the ship n now its on its way as its predecessor has done.
First impression of e ship, it was beautiful. The crew was friendly and everything was as much like old times as possible. well except 4 a few amenisities like oir con. (imagine if ders no air con down at e gun deck its goin to be so hot. Thx god 4 aircon). The impressive thing bout this voyage is dat they sail using masts. Isnt dat amazing? Of course its goin to take months just to reach e nxt destination.
Getting aboard was exciting. Got to see so many ropes and masts wah until dont know where e rope begin n where it ends. Even got to see life boats, old times style. of course theres no life jacket there, only oars n benches. The front of the ship has dis unique head figure. hehe dis head figure wears a crown n its a merman!.well a baby one la because it looks small. Goin down below deck present a bit of a problem coz e stairs a bot steep. Turns out u have to go down head facing stairs instead of e other way round. DAt way u can go down easily. Below deck(its call gun deck bcoz ders so many cannon der) its so dark. Imagine goin frm very well lit place to dark pitch, a bit disorientating. After awhile, e eyes get used to it. So many cannons down der. I wonder if still can use it? Hehehe. Mum got a bit dizzy down der bcoz e ship roll frm left to right. After fiesting our eyes on those cannon we went to e sun deck.
